Welcome to Ron’s articulate thoughts on spectacular South Africa or, for short, Ron’s atossSA.

Mainly I’m doing this for my own amusement, as I often feel the need to get things off my chest and on to paper/screen, as some people will know.  If anyone else bothers to read it and even mildly enjoys anything I say, fair enough.  Good for them.

Basically, it’ll just a be a bit of a review/comment on the World Cup over in South Africa.  For the group stages, my comments will mainly be based on TV and may well involve an awful lot of swearing about ITV’s coverage (I hate ITV’s football coverage), but then in advance of the 2nd Round (or “The Round of Sixteen” as FIFA call it) I’ll actually be out in South Africa hopefully following England as far as they get – probably the Quarter Final.

For the less perceptive of you, I follow England and Birmingham City, and as such disappointment is never far away.  I’m used to it.  I’m sure I’ll be writing about it in a few weeks.  Even so, before that disappointment there is always hope, and at present, well, there is that hope…
